We went back to Florence today. My mom took an fresco course (painting pictures on wet plaster). My Dad took us to the market where they have a famous wild boar fountain made out of bronze. I rubbed its nose, so that I may one day return to florence.
We also went to the Ponte Vecchio where they have lots of shops selling gold right on the bridge. Daddy also took us to the Galileo Museum. He was a famous scientist. For some reason, his finger and his tooth was on display.

In Lucca, we walked on top of the city walls and climbed a tower with trees on top. Mommy was so scared she only went half-way up the tower. I climbed all the way to the top. I was also the first person to get back down from the tower. There was 213 steps.
We stopped in a town called Pisa. We went to McDonalds for lunch and I got a happy meal.I also got a kinder egg. In my kinder egg was Usain Bolt (fastest man alive).
They have a church bell tower that is falling over because the workers built the foundation on sand. We went to the Abbey of Passignano that was very close by to our villa. It is a Monastery dating back to 890. That is over 1000 years old. Four monks live there now. Me and Gran saw their underwear hanging up to dry. We also met their cat.
I went in a Ferrari sports car. It is very fast. The backseat was tiny. My dad and mom took my gran for a drive.
We went to the Bargello Museum in Florence today. Me, Annie and my Gran got told off for touching some of the sculptures. This museum used to be a jail. Today we went to the town of San Gimignano. There used to be 72 towers. Now there are only 16.
We got gelato and I got strawberry lemon flavour. I used the colourful gelato spoons to make a fidget spinner. Also, we saw lots of people with fidget spinners in Italy. We went to Siena today! I got a blue, red and white bracelet from a stand in the main square. We
ate pizza and drank ice tea in the square where the horse races are held. The winning horse and rider is brought into the cathedral to be blessed. |
